Grafting Propagation

GROWING TREES is a time consuming process. Often a person buys trees from a big box home improvement store or hardware store. The trees are mostly only available in the spring, which coincidentally is the worst time to plant trees. Then, they

plant the trees, excitedly watching the trees grow throughout the summer. The trees go dormant during the winter and then for some reason never come back the next spring. Out of every 10 trees purchased at franchise stores, only 2 survive the first 3 years. Unfortunately, by this time, you have already invested 2 or 3 years in the tree only to end up empty handed.

ANOTHER IMAGE is to grow trees from seeds, but then the fruit is rarely ever the same quality as the fruit the seeds came from, and it can take 5 to 10 years to learn about the fruit quality..

PEOPLE'S LIVES are too short to spend it waiting on fruit trees to disappoint us 5 or 10 years later, so what is the alternative??? Grafting!! Grafting is the art of splicing adult tree branches to adult tree root stock and creating "clones" of already grown trees which produce quality fruit within 1 or 2 years, rather than 10 years later.
